Daca suntem in cautarea unor clipe de relaxare in aproprierea orasului Arad, va invit la o plimbare prin Muntii Zarand, in imprejurimile comunei Siria. Acest scurt traseu nu necesita echipament de munte special, avand nevoie doar de bocanci cu talpa aderenta, in functie de anotimp hainele adecvate, pelerina de ploaie sau ochelari de soare, un rucsacel mic in care sa aveti ceva de mancare si o sticla cu apa, nu in ultimul rand, aparatul foto sau camera video. Acest traseu se poate face tot timpul anului, indiferent de vreme. Durata lui este in functie de conditia fizica, experienta de munte si de varsta a fiecaruia, indiferent ca este copil sau varstnic.

Din centrul comunei Siria si pana la Manastirea Feredeu pe sosea, sunt aproximativ 6 km – 1h’30min.; de la Manastirea Feredeu si pana la schitul Feredeu pe “Drumul Crucii”, sunt aproximativ 5 km – 1h’30min.-2h; de la Schitul Feredeu prin padure si culmea Cazan catre Cetatea Siria pe drum forestier, aproximatix 7 km – 2h-2h’30min.; ; de la Cetatea Siria catre comuna Siria, pe poteca turistica, 30min-01h.

If you are looking for some relaxing moments in proximity of Arad city, I invite you to walk through Zarand Mountains, in surroundings Siria village. This short route does not require mountain equipment, needing only boots with soles grip, depending on the season clothes appropriate raincoat and sunglasses, a small rucsak and something to eat and a bottle of water, not least, the camera or camcorder. From the center of Siria village until the Monastery Feredeu on road are about 6 km – 1h’30min,; from Monastery Feredeu until the Feredeu hermitage on the touristic trail „Way of the Cross” are about 5 km – 2h 1h’30min.; from the Feredeu hermitage through the Cazanului ridge on the forest to atop Siria citadel from forest road aproximatix 7 km – 2h-2h’30min.; from Siria citadel to the Sirian village on the touristic trail, 01h 30min.
